Fantastic Pulp is glad to accept any work in the following categories: Articles, Fiction, Art and Audio. Our first priority in choosing submissions will go to our Members (sign up here), however unsolicited work can be sent via e-mail to editor@fantasticpulp.com.
We accept several kinds of fiction. The broad categories (with word counts) are:
Pay rates will be determined by a points system. Each person who contributes to the site during a given month will get a number of points based on what sort of work they've submitted. At the end of the month, all the points are added together and percentages are calculated, which is used to divide the profits.
Beta Note: We will be running on fumes for a bit. Realistically, there's probably a couple months minimum before any of us see a penny. But if you stick with us, we'll make sure everyone gets what's fair. Also, things are set up so that if you're not getting paid, we're not getting paid either. And we're not all that crazy about that.
However, we can also offer...
Promotion. In addition, the site will act as a promotion engine. It increases the chances that someone, somewhere will see and enjoy your work. Registered contributors also receive free advertising in the form of 150x500 pixel banners. E-mail advertising@fantasticpulp.com for more information.
Each bit of content you have published during a month will get you a certain number of points, as determined by the following table:
| Article | 1 Point |
| Flash Fiction | 1 Point |
| Very Short Fiction | 2 Points |
| Short Fiction | 3 Points |
| Serial Fiction | Points based on length +1 |
| Art | 2 Points |
| Audio | 3 Points |
| Moderator | 2 Points |
| Admin | 3 Points |
All rights to work remains in the creator's hands. Intellectual property rights are a complicated issue. We'll have some rough guides set up soon, but in the meantime there are several easy options available in the Creative Commons.
Fantastic Pulp does reserve non-exclusive web publishing rights for any material submitted to the site. In the event that we wish to use your work in another format (i.e. magazine, annual, etc.), we will negotiate new terms at that time.
